This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember your excitement when you put your finishing touches on a drawing? Many of my students have not yet been able to complete a "master piece". Many of them have not had enough experience with art materials and no experience with an iPad that can help them accomplish this.

Our school is an applied learning school where students' learning is primarily through project based activities.

The students are eager to learn. The majority of students in my class are English language learners and/or from non affluent families. My students have fantastic visions and ideas and enjoy creating things from their imagination. This iPad will allow students to use technology to create visual and performance art pieces.

My Project

This iPad will allow students to use technology to apply and practice what is being taught in art as well as creating things more freely through the use of various apps. Students will also be able to create visual representations of what they are learning in literacy, language arts, math and science. Students will be able to practice letter writing, letter recognition, have wireless access to learning games and so much more.

An iPad will give my students access to a technology that is relevant in today's world.

Students will be able to learn on a medium that is becoming more and more prevalent in the classroom.
