Arting With Lasers

Help me give my students a Laser Engraver. I have students that like to work with wood burners, and this is a great jumping off point for some of their creative ideas!

My Project

I love bringing new art technologies into the classroom and seeing how students begin to make use of them. I am pleasantly surprised every day by the talents and creative ideas my students come up with.

With a laser cutter/engraver my students will be able to get a jumpstart on their wood burning projects.

They will be able to use this machine in lots of ways, from engraving items to laser cutting shapes and forms for sculptures.

In anticipation of this project students have been excitedly planning how they could possibly use this technology in their art. Even my students interested in next year's animation class are brainstorming ways to use a laser cutter.
