My Students

My students are incredible. They have demonstrated resilience of events the last 2 years. They have pivoted in education so many times and continue to show up with a smile and a good attitude. They are bright, talented, and will change the world.

These students have shown time and time again that they are confident, creative, capable, tech savvy, and ready for what the future holds.

They are learning how to navigate the 21st century through a school wide 1 to 1 Chromebook ratio. They have the skill set but they lack additional tools to further build apply their 21st century tech skills.

Additionally, I want students to harness their full creative power through art, writing, technology, and problem solving. I believe that having sufficient art supplies and a teacher who thinks outside of the box; students will gain a life long love for learning and be the creative problem solvers our society needs for tomorrow.

My Project

As schools recover from the effects of Covid 19 in the classroom and at home, I want to provide high quality lessons that work for a variety of learning styles. Students will have access to art supplies for those who are visual learners. Students who learn better through videos will be able to use headsets on their Chromebooks. LEGO and Play-Doh will help as students represent the various parts of geographic thinking and learning. As I work collaboratively with other teachers we can see learning gaps made up for students.
