This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are incredibly creative artists. They draw constantly and even their doodles are well done. Giving my students real paint, paint brushes, and canvases will take their artistic talents to the next level. They will use the materials to create two paintings and one string art project (that includes painting a background on plywood, sanding, nailing, and stringing crochet thread!).

In order for my students to display their creativity, they need more than simple paper and pencil, they need paint, paint brushes, and canvases.

They need the supplies that will allow them to use value and to create secondary colors, tertiary colors, hues, tints, tones, and shades using only black, white, red, yellow, and blue paints. Their paintings really come alive!
