Art Supplies Needed for Students

My students need 7 art supplies, including markers, crayons, fingerpaints and paper.

My students are in desperate need of art supplies for next year. I teach Head Start to eighteen 4 & 5 year olds. Art projects are a big part of our day. Because I teach Head Start all of my students come from low income families.

It is the end of the school year and we have run out of most of our art supplies. By making art my students will have the opportunity to develop their cognitive, social, and motor abilities. Making art will allow students to express what they are thinking or feeling.

We need markers, crayons, tissue paper, and fingerpaint. These materials will help my students develop an appreciation for art and confidence to express themselves through art.

Head Start normally supplies teachers with money to purchase classroom items for the following year. However, budget cuts will not allow for that this year. I have been buying art supplies out of pocket since March and I can no longer afford to do this. You will make it possible for my students to be able to do an art project everyday which will help them develop abilities and skills that have application in many other areas of the curriculum. The kids really love making things and the parents appreciate their children learning new skills.
