My students need to have art supplies in the classroom in order to be creative and use their brains in a different way. WE need construction paper, and more.

My Students

As a teacher in a low income and high poverty school, my students are faced with many struggles inside and outside of the classroom. Despite the challenges they might face, they don't give up.

They are dreamers, thinkers, learners, and go-getters.

Their determination to succeed is what keeps myself as their teacher going every day. I know that I can't change their struggles outside of school, but I pride myself in helping them overcome them in the classroom. I strive to make sure at the end of the day they have all of their tools in their tool belts to be successful in life.

My Project

Research shows that art is an important part of students learning. Doing different art projects allows the students to have a creative out. However, in our school we do not have an actual art class for my students to go to. We also, do not have an art budget to by supplies for them when I instruct a lesson. This donation would allow my class to have accessibility to art supplies! Construction paper is such a versatile tool for any art project, that we will be able to use this for numerous projects.

We know that art makes you think outside the box and what a great skill that is for students to learn!

Art can also take your mind to different places and make you learn new things. All of these are important skills in our world that needs to be developed at a young age.
