My Project
The materials and supplies that I have requested will be used to facilitate a variety of hands-on learning opportunities and art projects. Many of the supplies can be used for sculptural projects. My students will be able to use various found materials such as cardboard to create 3-D works of art. The scissors, paint, box-cutters and hot glue will be used to construct paper-mache sculptures.
The donations to this project will allow students to develop their imagination, conceptual ideas, and technical skill while experiencing a sense of personal accomplishment through creating works of art.
The use of these supplies will enable students to use the visual arts to express, communicate, and analyze visual information. Students in this class will also generate works of arts that employ unique ideas, feelings, and values using color. They will explore artistic techniques used in watercolor and acrylic painting while learning about color theory. My hope is that the donated supplies will increase student involvement and self-confidence.
