Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of my students are second language learners who come from low-income, immigrant families. All of my students also qualify for free lunch. In addition, many qualify for additional services such as free uniforms, free shoes, and free reading glasses. I have a wide range of students: from just learning the language for the first time to being in a general education classroom setting, for the first time, as well.

My students come to school excited to learn!

I want to use that excitement and have my students become excellent writers. I have requested watercolor refill trays, markers, and laminating film to highlight their artwork.

In addition, I have also requested additional supplies: birthday crowns and birthday pencils to keep my students motivated throughout the entire school year.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
