This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are full of energy and wonder. They love to explore and learn new things. Even though many of my students are from low-income families, they still have a sense of wonder about learning.
The art supplies will allow my students to have the opportunity to explore their creativity by using their imagination as they create art projects.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers as they work on their art projects.
Having the right art supplies will allow them to make decisions as to what they want to create. They can use the paintbrushes to create self-selected art pieces. Students can wear their art aprons giving them a sense of being artists. The students can use a variety of supplies to help with their art pieces, such as stapling them to their art portfolio stations. Using book binding tape to bind their pieces in a book for the end of the year. Along with that, students can also print the artwork that they created on their computers and use their art folders to store their work.
The students have worked hard in the core subjects and have expressed a desire to be able to do art weekly. These art supplies will make the art lessons so much more engaging.
