Help me give my students more paper storage, paintbrush storage, extension cords for our blacklights and some classroom basics to help keep our art room organized!
Every student deserves the opportunity to become the next Pablo Picasso, but sometimes we do not always have the proper resources, or the funds, to allow them to do so.
I teach Pre-K through fifth-grade art in a Title I elementary school located in a small, rural town where about 85% of our student population qualifies for free lunch.
Students come from all different backgrounds but they all have one thing in common: they love having the opportunity to create beautiful art.
My Project
I teach 7 grade levels a day and almost all of my lessons require handouts or examples. These drawer carts will help me to keep them organized by grade levels so each day they will have a specific spot to go and not take up so much room on my desk.
With these new storage carts and bins I hope to keep my art room as organized as possible.
We do a lot of art projects with black lights, but I don't have many choices when it comes to outlets to plug them into. The extension cords and LED lights will help to spread the light to all the areas of the room. The dry erase markers will be used for table games and for writing the objectives on the board each day. The table bins and caddies will be used to store and organize paint brushes by size and type.
