My Students

I am an art teacher. My class allows students to creatively express themselves. I love how students are able to come alive in my space. I am able to build relationships with them through art. Many times, the students I am able to connect with are the quiet/shy students that are trying to find the place where they fit in.

My Project

Demonstrations in an art classroom are often difficult to see, especially so during this time of social distancing in the classroom. A document camera will help enlarge and project teacher drawing/painting/creation demonstrations for students to see from their seats. It will also allow for the students learning from home to feel more connected to the classroom setting. I will be able to easily record demonstration videos for students to refer to on their laptops while at school or at home. These types of demonstrations happen daily in the classroom. A projector would help greatly!
