Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach twelve students with severe disabilities in a high school serving a community having a disproportionate number of low-income residents unable to provide socioeconomic advantages for their families. Our school serves students in grades 9-12 and boasts rigorous academics, dedicated teachers, and a supportive learning environment.
Despite their physical and other disabilities, my students are eager to do their best.
They want to learn all they can in order to be successful one day. All receive free lunch in the school cafeteria.
My Project
Because my students tend to come from families able to provide few economic advantages, they tend to be at risk in the way to express themselves through art, but it seems that I quickly run out of material.
In order to make it possible for my students to enrich themselves through art, I will need a Letters, Numbers and Shape Giant Stencil Box.
My students will learn letters, shapes and numbers as they color them. The handy box comes loaded with 66 giant wipe-clean stencils featuring the entire alphabet, number 1 to 20, 10 different shapes, and even 10 simple words. Students just color them with paints, markers, crayons or pencils, creating big, bold images every time.
With the Glitter Glue Painters students will create tons of eye-catching effects. 12 easy-to-use painters come in 6 non-toxic colors.
My students, eager artists, will express themselves while making art projects.
