This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have an amazing group of intelligent six and seven-year-old students who are creative and curious about everything around them. They appreciate every moment in our classroom. The arts is an area of great need. Every year I teach my students about the famous artists that have shaped our art world. We study one artist a month.

The materials provided will allow the students to feel like the famous artists we study in class.

The goal is to give students the opportunity to feel like a real professional artist. Students will use real canvas to create beautiful art pieces. For example, when we discuss how an artist uses acrylic paint to create their masterpiece, I want the students to feel as if they are that artist by using the same tools as the famous artist.
