This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help provide my students with the tools necessary to bring digital media into my history classroom. These tools will allow students to engage with political cartoons, poster design, and mixed media in authentic and meaningful ways, positioning them as creators rather than consumers of media.

The study of history does not need to be stuck in the past.

Students can use technology to manipulate historical images, creating their own remixes. They can create their own multimedia campaigns, inspired by historical movements. They can create contemporary art to analyze, process, and reflect their interpretations of historical figures and events. The tools provided by this project will help make my history classroom a space of creative, cross-curricular learning.
