This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In art class, students are constantly asked to describe, mix, and identify colors, but many struggle to put what they see into words. This game gives them a fun, low pressure way to practice using precise color vocabulary, compare subtle color differences, and listen to how others interpret the same visual information. It also promotes collaboration, turn-taking, and problem solving, which are all skills that transfer to both artmaking and everyday classroom learning.

My goal is to give students a hands on, and engaging way to strengthen their communication and visual literacy skills.

I want them to become more confident describing what they see, making thoughtful choices about color, and working together respectfully.

My students are creative, expressive, and full of curiosity. Many of them learn best through hands-on, visual, and interactive activities rather than traditional worksheets. They bring diverse backgrounds, personalities, and learning styles into the art room, which makes collaborative games especially powerful.
