Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I just started teaching an art class called "Secondary Visual Arts Enrichment". It is two hours, once per week. I'm trying to be creative, but would love some help for this. The class goes now through the end of May, so this will be just a start. We need paint, markers, brushes, and more.

I want the students to have creative and fun projects to do.

We will be making holiday crafts, including masks, and homemade suncatchers and we will relate them to upcoming holidays. That way, we can discuss what we are doing, why we are doing it, and create something for that event. In addition, as a special ed teacher, I really need a paper shredder! I have important documents that need to be shredded and not thrown away and I have to save them and bring them across the campus to dispose of them properly.
