Art, at It's Finest!

Help me give my students some hands on materials to enhance fine motor skills and imagination. The 3-way easel will encourage the children to participate in Art as well as allow multiple children to utilize the center.

My Students

I love my students because they bring their own special touch and individuality to our classroom each day. I have 5 little ones, 4 boys and 1 girl. One boy is 3 years old and the "leader" of the class! I have one 5 year old boy and one 5 year old girl, the other two boys are 4 years old. A couple of my little ones have autism and three of them are developmentally delayed. I can tell you, there is never a dull moment in our classroom!

There are two other teachers in the classroom, one of the perks of being an EC classroom...so the three of us are able to spend a lot of individual one-on-one time with our babies.

We have already seen great progress and we're not even 1/2 way through the school year!

My Project

I chose the 3-Way Art easel for my learning environment because it will "invite" the children to participate in art activities as well as encourage social emotional development as they interact with one another in the Art Center.

We rarely paint in the classroom because our Art Center consists of a single table where the children are able to draw, paint, create with Play-Doh, and participate in other art activities.

I believe that the easel will draw their attention and allow for them to expand on their creativity. It will also enhance their fine motor skills, something that ALL children need!
