This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a fourth-grade teacher. There are 27 students in my class.

Our school data shows that 958 out of 988, or 97%, of our students, are economically disadvantaged.

Of our 988 students, 328, or 33% are considered “homeless youth.”

We need classroom supplies. This year has brought challenges as we face the fiscal response to COVID. My kiddos are the sweetest, kindest kids you could ever meet. This gift would brighten their lives! Thank you very much!

My Project

Help my students have art and board games in the classroom! The water colors will provide an experience to connect art to academic principles in the classroom. We can't wait to use the clay to design mission models to connect to Social Studies.

We also are excited to bring board games for students to have an alternate activity during recess and lunch.

After COVID shutdown, students need ways to reconnect, and board games will provide an opportunity to do so. Thank you for considering this project for my 4th grade students.
