These erasers are so special to the students, that they don't lose them; instead they just use them and keep them safe. They magnetize to the desks, so they are not lost. I keep them in the original box and have leaders borrow them for their groups, and then return them. Student writing is improving using this tool. Green for topic sentences as well as conclusions. Yellow for facts and details. Pink is for adding in examples. Students are wanting to add examples to their writing because they want to use the pink highlighters! It also makes it much easier to close their desks, without as many bulky items in the way!
