Arduino Kits for Computer and Information Sciences
Help me give my students an opportunity to work hands on with computer hardware and learn about circuits and processing. By acquiring Arduino kits my students can work in pairs to learn the basics of computer circuitry.
Students in the Computer and Information Sciences pathway are exposed to every facet of Information Technology. As a Title I school, our students come from many different backgrounds, socially and economically, but their passion and interest in learning is constant across the board.
Students want to be successful.
These students recognize the importance of preparation for college or the work force and are committed to giving their best every day. I know that with the assistance of donors like you, the students in my classes will be provided with every opportunity to be successful.
Students do not often have the opportunity to work hands on with the technology that shapes their world. They know how to use it, but do they really understand how it works?
With my class, students get to peek behind the curtain to see how the magic works.
With access to Arduino kits, students can learn about circuits and the relationship between processing and logic. They can gain real world experience by building something and working as part of a team to accomplish a larger goal. As we prepare students for College and Career Readiness, these skills learned will prepare students for both.
