Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach urban middle school kids from working-class homes with diverse family structures. My students are motivated, talented, hardworking, and full of energy. More than half of my students receive free or reduced-cost lunches. They may not be rich with money, but they are rich in empathy and a willingness to learn. My students deserve a fair opportunity to grow and succeed. They are diverse in their skills and talents. Some of my students think school is more exciting than summer vacation!

My Project

I am looking to get an MacBook Pro for my classroom. With this computer, I will be able to create lessons for students and classwork. I will be able to use this at school and at home to create the lessons for the kids.

We are going to be doing a lot of project based activities and I want the kids to create a presentations, edit and present for others to view and vote for the best project.

We know that kids love to be entertained and this is one way that I am hoping to get them to learn. We are going to be using this Mac to create math videos. We will also use this to create some graphic projects related to math concepts. I have researched a lot of projects and have them ready to.

Over the last few years, we know that there have been a lot of challenges and I am hoping to close the gap on what they know by creating fun ways to learn.
