Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school has done an outstanding job ensuring that every student has access to a Chromebook, achieving a 1:1 device ratio. However, with daily use, some devices inevitably slow down or break—through no fault of the school. To help address this challenge, I am seeking to provide a MacBook Air for a student in need, ensuring they can complete essays and assignments without the frustration of slow or unreliable technology.
While it’s not feasible to do this for all 1,500 students, I believe that helping one student at a time can make a meaningful impact on our school community.
What makes this especially significant is that our students, despite coming from a low-income area, refuse to make excuses. Instead, they rise to the challenge, determined to succeed. With this MacBook, I hope to support that determination and ease the burden for at least one hardworking student.
