My Project

The City That Never Sleeps - NYC public schools produce young adults who never stop thinking, never stop questioning, never stop striving.

Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition and Advanced Placement Research aren't just college-level courses, they are stepping stones for lifelong inquiry - and my students need supplies to nourish their minds and bodies for this epic adventure.

AP English Lit transports students - through literature from drama to short stories to novels to poetry - to places far outside their own neighborhoods. They are exposed to perspectives, motivations, and conflicts that help them consider how literature is a mirror for the human condiiton. AP Research, the second stage of the AP Captone Program, asks students to create original research queries, design methods- and approach-based plans, carry through with extensive field word, and analyze data to answer their question.

Our classroom is a microcosm of the larger landscape - my students come from different cultures, backgrounds, social spheres, points of view - but they share a desire to be better than they are today. Your support will help them crush these college-level courses!
