AP Biology Lab Supplies

My students need gloves, agar, and other lab supplies to bring our AP Biology class into the 21st century. These supplies will allow us to do more than ten different labs!

My Students

I do not want the poverty that my students may experience at home to follow them into the classroom. I envision a classroom where my students have access to all of the tools that will help them learn.

My students are incredibly bright and motivated young people.

Despite the poverty many of them come from, they are full of curiosity and are hungry to learn. Our school has an emphasis on Math and Science and attracts some of the highest performing students in our district. We are truly educating the next generation of doctors and scientists.

My Project

These materials will allow us to perform AP Biology labs to investigate topics such as natural selection, restriction enzymes, transformations, and more! Conducting labs will help my students be more prepared for the Advanced Placement (AP) Biology exam, more prepared for college, and more likely to explore a career in STEM.

Access to lab materials will also increase my students' learning immensely.

With a subject such as AP Biology, it is really important that students have as many ways to engage with the material as possible. The more they grapple and explore, the more likely they are to cement their learning.
