Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember sitting in class completely frustrated because you didn't understand what the teacher was trying to say? Are you a visual learner who needs to be shown and not just told? We are increasing the use of technology in our classroom and need a laptop we can use for demonstration.
My students are eighth and ninth graders at a unique, ground-breaking, technology-based school designed to offer a much needed boost to students for who WHATEVER reason simply underperformed last year and are in danger of not graduating.
They are from a variety of cultural backgrounds, mostly from poor and working class families, many with members serving our country. They are adorable, bright, curious, and inquisitive individuals who are eager to learn and eager to please. They are often creative, funny, and mischievous, and hungry for more material to keep them engaged and motivated in the educational process.
My Project
Your generous donation will enable my students to watch me demo the lesson, following along step-by-step on their tablets as we explore all the educational resources available to us on-line. It is fantastic for visual learners who need to see, as opposed to being told. It will liven up the curriculum, making it more engaging, interactive, and fun. It will allow me to individualize and tailor instruction to best meet their needs.

It will open educational doors that other otherwise closed without the technology to access it. This will impact my students by motivating them with lessons that are delivered in creative, interesting, and fun ways using the latest technology.
