My Students

I teach in a district in Los Altos, which is 40 minutes from San Francisco. My students are Asian, White, and Hispanic/ Latinx who attend a California Distinguished school. Reading and literacy are an important part of the classroom culture!

My students are all in 3rd grade and just beginning the process of reading to learn versus learning to read!

My Project

This project will be used to provide another area for reading and a flexible workspace for students. Our one, large rug space is too small for everyone to read comfortably. Please help us expand this space so my students can have more options for reading workshops, math group work, silent reading, and places to have choices and options. In order to support the needs of all students, I want to provide flexible seating options. This will be responsive to students and not limit them to just desk work every day.
