I teach 2nd grade to an amazing population of students. My students often face difficult challenges in their lives. They often come to school looking forward to knowing that they will be provided with structure, love, knowledge and the supplies they need.
I provide my students and families with a supply list but it is rare that parents are able to fulfill these requests. I try to make sure that I have notebooks in stock for those that are unable to get them. Even with summer sales, they end up costing a lot.
We use notebooks daily for all subjects. My students love that they have their own place to write, answer questions, and solve problems. Our learning objectives and my students progress would not be possible without this resource.
Their is nothing more exciting for a student to have filled up an entire notebook. Knowing that I can quickly go to a stocked closet and provide them with their next new tool of exploring, expression and discovery is something that is extremely important to me.
