Hooray! This project is fully funded

I am a new science teacher with a new science room, where I teach 19 different classes, including Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Special Education students. When I arrived at the school, I was given an empty room and no resources. Most of my children live in a nearby public housing development and seldom go beyond the confines of their complex. When I began teaching in September, I queried my students to see how many of them had had contact with nature?plants, animals, etc. Sadly, many of the students have never even planted a seed and almost across the board, my students have never touched a frog or a turtle. What I would like to do is make frogs and turtles part of our classroom community and am asking a generous donor to help me make this possible. What I need to get started is: two 10-gallon tanks and accessories, frog eggs, and four turtles. My students would benefit from having these animals in several ways. They will learn how to care for animals and develop respect for animals. They will get to touch these animals. They will also study the life cycles of these animals and learn the value of these animals in the larger world. Again, I teach 19 classes (about 275 students), so this small request will benefit many, many children. Thank you.
