Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an excited bunch who are always eager to learn new things.
While they all come from very different backgrounds and home lives, they are all the same in their dedication to school and learning.
My school resides in a neighborhood where many of the families are immigrants and speak languages other than English. Many of my students enter school speaking little to no English, but are excited to learn the language. Their different cultures help to make my classroom a diverse learning space for all.
My Project
Often times due to weather my students are required to have indoor recess. While recess may seem like an unimportant time in our school day, my students need that time to think creatively, and release energy. Sometimes my students struggle with using the time constructively or deciding on an activity to work on.
The games in this project will allow my students to challenge themselves and think creatively without even realizing they're doing it!
These games will provide them with engaging activities to then get them ready to come back to learning! Recess is an important part our day and sets the stage for the rest of the afternoon!
