My Students
My students are hungry to learn! They are curious and capable, but they need the resources to help them!
My students are in the 5th grade and have a variety of learning styles, and learning challenges.
They love to learn and are proud of what they know, however they lack confidence in math.
Their lack of confidence comes from years of struggling with foundational math skills. It causes them to shut down when we transition to math or they are presented with a new subject. My goal is to boost their confidence so they are able to tackle new and more difficult subjects. Games and foundational knowledge have proved to be excellent confidence and engagement boosters in education. Your generous donation will help my students build the bedrock of a love for math, and develop the skills they need throughout the rest of their academic careers.
My Project
A classroom should reflect what a student is learning. This project is here to do that! Anchor your knowledge is meant to supply students with anchor chart and references supplies so they are able to create charts of what they are learning. My students LOVE crafting and art, and I want to combine that with teaching math and ELA theories. They will be able to take their knowledge and put it on a poster they will be able to refer back to again and again.
