This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching in a Title 1 school, I have a diverse group of students. Quite a few of them are newcomers to the country. Being new to the country, comes with many new changes and adapting. I want to make the transition as smooth as I can. Some things we do in our classroom, they may not be use to. Being a Reading/Writing teacher, one of the main things I like to do is have a very "print rich" classroom.

Having colorful and purposeful anchor charts are a necessity for my classroom learning environment, especially for my newcomer students.

Having resources lile various sizes of chart paper, and markers to create those meaningful anchor charts will be very beneficial.
