My Students

Living in a military town can sound interesting, but having students come and go all year long can become a struggle for both the teacher and the student. This being my first year teaching, I am very excited to begin my teaching career with an energetic bunch of kids that are ready to learn! I will be teaching in a school that has a multitude of cultures, learning abilities, backgrounds and languages present.

Students these days learn best by doing, especially with technology.

It is our job as educators to provide them with the needed tools to become independent, critical thinkers and prepared to work in a globally competitive career once they complete their school career.

My Project

My classroom this year will be full of future leaders. As my students enter my classroom, I want them to feel welcome and loved from the start. Students these days do not learn like we did. This project will benefit my students in a multitude of ways.

The seating will be one of the options for my classroom flexible seating that I am building upon.

Students learn best while being comfortable. If we can give them learning options by how they sit, they will be more productive. Students at this age also have a hard time staying organized and these bins will help them organize their items and keep them near and readily available. If students are given the best tools possible, they will learn the best way possible.
