An Organized Classroom Is Where Things Run Smoothly

My students need buckets and bins to organize their manipulative as well as labels so students can easily return items back to where they belong.

My Students

My students amaze me each and everyday! This kindergarten classroom is filled with students speaking a variety of languages, and come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some students are here as refugees from another country, some are currently living in homeless shelters with their families, while others live in apartments with several families.

Despite their circumstances the come to school each day ready to learn with a smile on their face!

My students work hard each and every day in order to get ready for first grade. Each student has similar but different goals to achieve each day and everyone is making progress toward their goal. I want all my students to be proud of their accomplishments no matter how small.

My Project

These materials are needed in my classroom in order to have our students manipulatives organized in the classroom. All the buckets we have for storage and organization are being used, and we still have a lot of materials that need a home in the classroom.

In kindergarten something we teach independence to our students.

I would like for my students to be able to pick an activity from the shelf and when it is time to clean up be able to put it away in the correct place. It is important for children to learn and get in the habit of this early because it is a skill they will need their entire life. The labeling materials will certainly help to label everything with words and the pictures associated with the items in the bucket. If students learn expectations early, and how items belong in a particular spot, it is a very valuable life lesson.
