Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Some have never set foot in a classroom before. Many students are English Language Learners and come from low-income backgrounds. However, even with daily challenges, each child is so eager to learn and always smiling. I want to provide them with interactive materials that inspire them to try their very best and continue to learn more each day!

I am requesting a big-ticket item that will be used for years and years to come with hundreds of kindergarten students.

Specifically, I am requesting a Classic Birch All-Purpose Classroom Storage Tray Center along with the matching trays to create independence and responsibility which are super important at this age. It helps prepare them for success in future grades. When students have a designated place like this All Purpose Classroom Storage Center to put items then it makes the day smoother and we get all the more learning accomplished! This organizational tray system will be a place students can store their personal supplies, workbooks, and leveled and learner-specific work.

Each student will have a tray inside the all-purpose storage unit with their name on it and they will use this day in and day out as a way to keep their supplies in their own personal space. In kindergarten students don't have desks but sit at tables. This is replacing a desk space for students to call their own.
