Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am blessed to be a second grade teacher at a diverse, Title 1 school where all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are adorable, sweet, full of energy, eager to learn, and curious about their ever-expanding world! Unfortunately, many of my students come from poverty and lack access to modern technology. With the new developments in technology, please help me provide more technology opportunities in my classroom!

The iPad will be used to help differentiate instruction through all subject areas!

I firmly believe that kids in this generation must learn to use technology effectively at an early age in order to be successful—not only in school but in life. In my school we have a large population of English Language Learners, these iPad will help them more with English development. I would also love to use it to help the students practice the math fact practice and help student develop a love for reading through reading apps.

As a second grade teacher, I have had to learn a whole new set of skills to keep my 7 year old learners engaged during learning! This iPad would allow the students to use it as an interactive whiteboard. They can also use the Apple pencil and iPad to demonstrate math concepts such as patterning, counting, adding and subtracting and comparing numbers. The ipad will be used in an interactive station for both Math and Reading. On this stations the students will have the opportunity to use different learning apps to review and learn new concepts.
