My Students

I teach special education students whom are currently in the Highly Structured Behavior Support Program, otherwise know as PASS (Positive Approach to Student Success). My students, in grades 6-8, all struggle with emotional and behavior disorders. My goal as their teacher is to provide them with numerous opportunities to learn how to be successful in the general school setting.

My Project

The COVID-19 pandemic has proven to be challenging for schools across the nation. Many students are being forced to learn virtually and teachers are scrambling to develop lessons that provide those kiddos with opportunities to have as much success as they would learning in the classroom.

An iPad would allow me to enhance lessons for those students attending class in-person, as well as those joining us from home.

Apple has many engaging apps that would be of no cost to families during this challenging time. An iPad would allow me to annotate slides during presentations, record high resolution videos of lessons to present to students, improve accessibility for all students, and collaborate study sessions with my kids.
