Help me give my students an updated library that is inviting for a fourth grade student. One that they will want to spend time relaxing in the chair reading in!
I am so lucky to be teaching 4th grade this fall! I am however new to this grade level and could use some help to bolster my Library. I would like to add some current books as well as create a library space with bean bag chairs so that the kids have a separate space that can be used as an incentive for behavior. This will not only encourage a love of learning, but the ability to self manage and effectively communicate.

My Project
Reading is the key to education. Students that read at least thirty minutes a day will expand their vocabulary and comprehension. Once they reach fourth grade it becomes imperative that they understand what they are reading as all content area becomes a comprehension quiz.
An inviting library will encourage students to read more during day and hopefully transfer over into the evening.
My goal is to help them find that book that they just can't put down and be comfortable as they read it. By making the library a focal point of the room I hope to boost the importance of reading in their minds!
