An Art Room Glow-Up

Help me give my students new ways to explore art through painting, watercolor, sculpture, and mixed media. Specialty supplies will also transform our spring art show into an immersive Glow Art Hallway!

My Project

I love how curious, creative, and willing to experiment my students are! I want to give them more opportunities to work like real artists by exploring a wider variety of materials and techniques.

Tempera cakes and liquid watercolors will let students experiment with color mixing, layering, and brushwork.

Fluorescent and metallic paints will add exciting possibilities for special projects and our Glow Art Hallway. Kwik Stix will provide an accessible way to explore painting without brushes and water, while paint scrapers will introduce students to new mark-making and texture techniques.

Magnetic tiles will support 3D building and creative problem-solving, and cardboard cutters will help students safely transform recycled cardboard into sculptures and constructions. Art trays, paint palettes, portion cups, and ice cube trays will help us organize and manage materials so students can spend more time creating.

Most importantly, these resources will help my students discover that there is no single way to make art. They will have more chances to experiment, take creative risks, develop new skills, and proudly share their artwork with our school community.
