My Students

My school is a Title I school located in Water Valley, MS. At my school, 86% are eligible for free lunch. The diverse nature of our student body is what makes us special and what brings me to work every day.

My students value a focused and intentional instructional day where they can and will learn.

We begin each day with "I can and I will!" In order to support my students' desires to do well and their instructional needs, I incorporate hands-on, engaging activities.

My Project

Having an Apple TV in the classroom would allow the students to mirror what is on their ChromeBooks, and also allow me to be able to mirror what is on my laptop by connecting to the Airplay. Using Airplay is a great feature to have when presenting, modeling, creating, or teaching everyday lessons.

Students will be able to view what is on the connected device on the Smartboard that is already in the classroom.

This will allow flexibility for the teacher to utilize the laptop in order to teach lessons effectively. Using Airplay with the Apple TV will allow the teacher to have the lesson on their laptop, connect to the Apple TV and still be able to walk and monitor students' progress while teaching, instead of standing at the front of the room for the entire lesson.
