My Students

As a 21st century teacher, I find it extremely important to meet my students' needs as 21st century learners. I have seen the benefits of implementing technology in the classroom in a variety of ways, for example- with developing problem-solving skills, reading skills, math skills, and/or interpersonal communication skills.

Technology allows me the opportunity to differentiate my instruction on an individual student basis and design reading or math programs on a skill-based level.

My Project

Having iPads in the classroom will allow my students easy access to technology-based programs that will enhance their learning experience. 21st century students need to be able to access technology as another tool within the classroom. I have seen students' understanding of curriculum skyrocket when they have easier access to materials such as iPads, because it is something many students come to school familiar with, already. I have used iPads in previous classrooms as a tool to supplement and enhance the curriculum.

There are a variety of differentiated apps to be utilized throughout the school day that give the students a chance to showcase their learning in reading, writing, science, as well as critical thinking skills.

iPads are a great tool that allows the students to learn at their own pace and puts them in the driver seat of their learning.
