My Students

Curious, excited and enthusiastic is how I would describe my kindergarten students! They come to school every day so excited to learn and to figure out their place in the world. They arrive at the beginning of the year eager to learn what school is all about, and they leave at the end of the year ready to take on the challenges of first grade.

There is so much I need to do to prepare them for what comes after kindergarten!

My Project

I have been a teacher for 32 years and never thought I'd be expected to become an expert in virtual teaching! I spent the entire summer trying to prepare for this new school year despite not knowing what challenges it might bring.

It is nearly impossible to be an effective teacher in 2020 without the correct device!

There are so many engaging activities I can create on a Mac that I can't currently provide my students. I would love to be able to screen share games and lessons during our remote meetings. I want to be able to give them access to educational videos, stories, and virtual meetings to help build skills and a classroom community. It is so frustrating to try and engage with my students without a reliable device. They are so eager to learn and I want to make the most of their enthusiasm!
