This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As I continue to dedicate myself to teaching in the 21st century, it is essential to have updated technology and materials to ensure instructions are well-researched and well-planned. Daily lessons should be planned based on student data collection and professional development. In order to research, collect, analyze students' data, and share it with our parents, I need a desktop that is capable of doing the task. My current desktop is eight years old, and it does not connect to the internet or the printer.

This Apple iMac desktop will be a powerful tool that will enhance not only my teaching but my students' learning as well. I will be able to take online courses that will allow me to grow professionally in my knowledge of all academic areas as well as social-emotional learning. It will also allow me to collaborate with my colleagues on a regular basis. I will use the desktop as a tool to prepare myself for the technological demands of our new Amplified CKLA Reading Program and prepare me for the 21st century as I continue to research best teaching practices. I will be able to create Google Slides and graphic organizers of content-based learning to ensure that all my students are meeting all state standards.
