Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Monday through Friday, I walk into a classroom with a group of students who I am ready to teach and prepare for the future. I teach at a Title I school that is in an economically depressed area. The majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic background. Despite these circumstances, they are bright eyed, capable students, who dream big and strive to accomplish their goals. Students' learning needs are very diverse, making it important to differentiate instruction and challenge all students to their full potential. I am constantly thinking of new ideas and strategies to introduce information to my students so that all students can access the curriculum.
My Project
An Apple TV will allow students to project their work from different areas of the room. This will maximize time and efficiency when students present their work. The Apple TV will also allow our classroom access to different educational apps that can be used to further students' growth and development. Additionally, it can act as an interactive whiteboard allowing students to stream a live view of what is on their device. Students will all have the ability to share their work and learn from one another. Lastly, the Apple TV is an effective teaching tool that will both improve and assist student learning and appeal to the different learning styles of the children.
