Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have embarked on a new role in my building as the SRBI coach this school year which stands for Scientific Research-Based Instruction. My responsibilities include supporting students with intense intervention at the Tier 3 level. The use of a computer is vital in my role in order to fill out SRBI paperwork for students, create lessons, progress monitor student learning, collecting data, send emails to teachers and families, and most importantly teaching my intervention groups.

The Macbook would be used to enhance my lessons and for students to use through the use of Science of Reading strategies.

The students I service are well below meeting academic standards. They come to me for intensive instruction to help make adequate progress to help close the learning gap. The Macbook will allow me to create interactive research-based lessons and deliver instruction in a fun way. Additionally, the Macbook will enhance student learning by allowing students to use the computer to access different apps and computer programs that parallel with the systematic teaching of phonics I use in my instruction.

By donating to my project, you will ultimately help to increase academic achievement in students who are struggling. Additionally, you will be aiding in increasing students' technology literacy in this technology-literate world.
