Help me give my students CHARM in a Box, a vehicle to help them develop as writers and amplify their voices through a creative outlet during a really difficult time.

Each year I teach 180 students within Baltimore City Public Schools. Our resources are limited but our students deserving. The school I teach at has a high number of low income and even impoverished students. But that does not provide accurate insight into who my students are. They are witty, intelligent, energized young adults who thrive with supports in place.
The switch to remote learning has created social emotional challenges and feelings of isolation for my students.
The "Mind Oasis" box is chock full of prompts, tools, and inspiration to spark your imagination, and they feature writing and artwork by Baltimore youth. It is my hope that through this box, students will be able to feel seen, heard, and connected.
During this season of virtual learning, I am asking for donations to provide 30 students a creativity kit from CHARM: Voices of Baltimore Youth, a Baltimore-based nonprofit that seeks to support students as they develop as writers and amplify their voices.
CHARM has supported young creatives in Baltimore during the COVID school closures, providing Baltimore City Public School students a creative outlet during a really difficult time.
They've published works like This Is Not A Snow Day--an online documentation of life in Baltimore during COVID-19, from the point of view of our city's youth.
Now, CHARM is assembling and delivering CHARM in a Box--packages chock full of inspiration to spark creative writing for kids who are learning at home. If you can help me reach my goal, we'll be able to get boxes for an ENTIRE class of students to spark creativity during this time at home.
