Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. I brought my first bean bags into my classroom last year and the students love them, so with this project I am adding 2 more bags to my floor seating options.

My students are noticeably more comfortable and engaged in their work and less distracted by their peers when they get to choose where they will sit and work.

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The beanbag chair will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. With our block classes these are perfect for comfort and student’s ability to focus for 90 minutes. Since students sit in classroom desk chairs all day long, the really do appreciate having the option of a soft and more fluid seating choice such as a bean bag.
