The children of today are our leaders for tomorrow. In an ever-changing and unpredictable world, children need to be exposed to a variety of experiences in the classroom in order to best meet their needs for education and their future. My children are enthusiastic to learn but are limited in accessing their learning outside of the classroom due to socio-economic factors. My class is in a Title One school.
With a desire to learn and the appropriate education tools, the limits placed on children are diminished and the world becomes more reachable for them!
The children in my class are willing to learn and experience new learning opportunities. They thrive on kinesthetic opportunities and e-learning and engage fully in opportunities that are provided to them. Many of the children in my class come from military families and spend much time with only one parent. Many others come from single-parent families and/or live in low-income households.
My Project
Technology never fails to enthuse and inspire children in the classroom. I use a large variety of online programs, websites, teaching tools and resources to stimulate the children's interest and ensure that they have the best possible learning environment and opportunities.
These two Lenovo Chromebooks will allow more children in class to independently access online resources without the need to share with others.
With an increase in my class size, I am resubmitting this project in order to fully meet the needs of all children in my class.
This means that children can access learning at their own pace and at their own level. I will be more able to set challenges or support for their learning as they access global resources independently as well as collaboratively.
