This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There is nothing like the smell and feel of new school supplies. Every summer I'm still excited to get the lab ready for my students. Some of my youngest students, especially our kindergarteners, love to draw and color.

Crayons and play-dough are fantastic for letting our students showcase their ideas and show their learning.

They love making everything colorful and happy. We have gone through a lot of crayons this year, with students drawing weather reports, seasonal sorts, and animal adaptations. Next year I would love to have play-dough so they can create three-dimensionally, ideally with each student having an assigned tub.
