My Project

My classroom is full of students with a wide range of skin colors. One thing that they have in common is a love of drawing! They frequently ask me for plain paper to color on during free time, and they love to draw themselves with their friends from school. A typical crayon pack only has tan and brown as “skin color” options, and many of my students have expressed disappointment about not finding the “right” color to draw with. With these crayons, paper, and books, my students will be able to see themselves and their friends accurately represented through art.
