I thoroughly enjoy teaching third grade at my elementary school in North Carolina. Third grade is such a crucial year as children travel through their academic careers. I love to be the facilitator. as my students thrive and grow to become hungry learners. Accountability, independence, and exploration are just some of the traits that I love seeing transform and flourish within my classroom. My students are always so eager to learn, curious to solve problems, and use all opportunities to expand their knowledge.
My Project
Technology has become a critical pillar of education. So many of our educational programs, such as Study Island, Prodigy, & Istation, are only accessible online. Having these Chromebooks within the classroom will mean that these programs will be continually available to my students. All students have unique learning styles, excel at different speeds, and need customized exercises to maximize their growth in 3rd grade.
While each of these programs creates a personalized learning experience for each student, the value of these Chromebooks is inestimable.
These Chromebooks will help me create purposeful lesson plans and activities that will offer remediation and acceleration to all students.
